2015 Snapshot

In just couple hours, it'll be another year.
Yay, 2016. New Year, New Adventure!

2015 in review.

As of January, I started my duty as research assistant (RA) to a wonderful Assoc. Prof. Dr Zu ( well, to at least 4 another Dr as well (Dr Lia, Dr Azida, Dr Bell & Prof Normah). I was in my final semester and Dr Zu said, she needed me for a big project coming in April. February and March was filled with so many promotions of the training, appointment, meetings with the statutory bodies and whatnot, I lost count on the international calls that we made. Operating in UK time while living in Malaysia is a bit challenging, but it's all worth it when the event & training goes smoothly without any glitch. United Kingdom is calling, hence, come April, I visited United Kingdom as committee member for a training provided by the institution I'm working at, ARI. Thanks to ARI, I got to visit, Ireland, France, Qatar and of course the UK.  May and June was packed with the report for the training and conference that we held in the UK. I went on a trip back to South Korea, my second home in July.. It was during Islam's fasting month and Korea's hottest month..urgh.worst combo! Then, took a trip to Krabi Island with my ARI team in August. My birthday was spent with my close buddy in Thailand! September was when we sent Mira to the UK, she's doing her master in Oxford Brookes now. Come October, it was Paul Barnes turn to visit ARI for two weeks. Delegates from Universitas Indonesia, Dr Ancella and Dr. Dian visited ARI to discuss on the upcoming Four A events. That time around, the CEO of Al-Baik Food System, Mr Rami Abu Ghazaleh visited ARI with her daughter. November is the time for Four A in Bandung, Indonesia. Dr. Ancella's team from Universitas Indonesia were the proud organizer of the event. My family and I went to Vietnam in December. My team won gold medal at the MIIEX 2015, phew all the sweat and tears! and the ICONIgS Conference 2015 that ARI's been planning with UiTM Melaka went well! Yay!  up till now, my life as a RA was filled with designing training & attending conferences, submitting publications, publishing reports, meeting & entertaining delegates from all over the world. Who would ever thought that preparing for an event seems like such a fun challenge now, well at least I never ever imagine my life would be like this a year ago. It's a great year, I learn a lot and matured too.  God sure knows better! Alhamdulillah. And with that, I welcome the year 2016! Please be great.

Birdsnest Hostel in Hongdae

It's May already. Been couple of months since my trip to Korea,  and I've been missing that country ever since.  Ahh,I need to go there again and stay longer and explore more! ^_^

So this post is gonna be about the Birdsnest Hostel,  that I stayed while I'm in Seoul.  It's my second hostel after Namu GH.
Owned and run by Mr DongUk Lee. It's a hostel that he just set up after coming back from his RTW trip.
We first arrived at the hostel without any reservation,on one cold day.. Luckily, DongUk  attended us. We asked whether any rooms available and he said yes.
Later he lead us to our dorm room.

We opted for the mixed dorm, 18000 won per person/night after 10% winter-discount. However, he told us to stay in the female dorm, with the same price. Thanks! Usually female only dorm a bit pricy, but he's so nice to let us.

Going to YG Entertainment Building

What a trip to Seoul,South Korea without ever going to see   THE YG Entertainment HQ building for the YG stans?  Be it VIP,LUCKY 7 or BLACKJACK (just naming some),  even seeing the building itself brings joy & excitement to us,right?  Let alone being lucky enough to see the stars up close :D
Going to YG building almost becoming my daily routine, tehee.
*no, i'm not a sasaeng fans*  It's hard not to when you know where it is. Because,it's like,  "this is my only chance to see and experience the awesomeness first hand". Actually I had tried walking from Hongdae to Hapjeong too.  It's not too far though, yes, I did reached YG Building, but it's time & energy consuming. ^^  Best to go by subway or bus, or better taxi.  Haven't tried going by bus or taxi, just subway.  So,here it is.
Take subway Line 2 (Green). Off at Hapjeong Station, exit 8. It's about 5-10minutes from the station, depends on your pace. Hehe, like mine,I bet yours will be as lig…

Hello! The semester is about to kick-off for some students, especially for those SPM-holders. So, as the senior student,I am, welcoming you guys to the Uni life! Please expect fun time learning, meeting and making friends, and great memories to be created as you go along this process.^^

If you happen to be accepted into UiTM Machang Campus, ahah! Then again,i welcome you! Allow me to simply explain about this campus.
UiTM Machang Campus is my current Uni.well actually it WAS my campus while i was doing my Diploma in Accountancy several years ago. After graduating, i was again accepted to further my study at this campus. ^^

It has been wonderful several years for me. Even though the campus is located quite far away from civilization, but that's the special thing about it! When i stated quite far, please do not expect anything like fast food restaurants or shopping mall or even supermarket. The most we have near the campus is 7-Eleven!! (^_~)
